Powder coating lines are a key, efficient, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving surface treatment technology in modern manufacturing. Through electrostatic adsorption and high-temperature curing, a durable, aesthetically pleasing, and versatile plastic coating is formed on the surface of metal workpieces. Its main functions can be summarized as: providing long-lasting corrosion protection and physical protection for metals, giving products a rich decorative appearance, significantly reducing environmental pollution during production, and effectively lowering overall costs and increasing product added value due to its high material utilization rate and automation capabilities. Here is a detailed description of each step:
Stage 1: Pretreatment
This is a crucial foundational step, determining the coating's adhesion and corrosion resistance. The goal is to thoroughly remove oil, rust, and impurities from the workpiece surface and form a chemical conversion film that enhances adhesion.
Main Steps (using a standard phosphating line as an example):
1. Pre-degreasing: Initially removes a large amount of grease and dust.
2. Main degreasing: Thoroughly removes all oil contaminants using an alkaline degreasing agent and spraying.
3. Water washing (2 passes): Washes away residual degreasing agent.
4. Surface conditioning: Activates the metal surface, preparing it for phosphating.
5. Phosphating: Forms a dense phosphate crystal film (such as zinc phosphate) on the steel surface, greatly increasing coating adhesion and rust prevention.
6. Water washing: Washes away residual phosphating solution.
7. Deionized water washing: Rinses with pure water to prevent mineral contamination of the surface and ensures no water stains after drying.
8. Moisture Drying: Thoroughly dry the workpiece (temperature typically 100-140°C).
Note: For non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, chromating or non-chromium conversion treatment is used instead of phosphating.
Second Stage: Spray Coating
This is the core coating process, carried out inside the spray booth.
1. Electrostatic Spraying:
· Powder is sprayed from the spray gun through a powder supply system (pump, Venturi principle).
· The spray gun electrode causes the powder particles to carry a negative high-voltage electrostatic charge.
· The grounded workpiece (suspended on the conveyor chain) is positively charged, and the powder is evenly adsorbed onto the workpiece surface under electrostatic attraction.
· Key Equipment: Automatic electrostatic spray gun (operated by a program-controlled robotic arm, used for large-area spraying) and manual spray gun (used for touch-up spraying and complex workpieces).
2. Recovery System:
· Oversprayed powder that has not adhered to the workpiece is collected by a powder recovery system (usually a cyclone separator + cartridge filter) below the spray booth.
• After sieving, qualified powder is mixed with new powder in a specific ratio and fed back into the powder supply system for reuse, achieving a material utilization rate of over 95%.
Third Stage: Curing
This is the chemical reaction stage where the coating transforms from physical adsorption into a tough coating.
1. High-Temperature Baking:
• The sprayed workpiece enters the curing oven.
• It is baked at a set temperature (usually 180-200°C) and time (usually 10-15 minutes, depending on the powder type and workpiece thickness).
• The resin and hardener in the powder undergo a thermochemical reaction (cross-linking reaction), melting, leveling, and forming a dense, strong, and continuous final coating.
2. Cooling:
• The cured workpiece is conveyed out of the curing oven and cooled in air or a forced cooling zone for subsequent unloading, inspection, and packaging.
Final Stage
• Unloading and Inspection: The workpiece is removed from the conveyor chain for quality checks including appearance, thickness, adhesion, and gloss.
• Packaging and Warehousing: Qualified products are packaged and then stored.

A:We are a professional manufacturer with our own export department.

Q2:Where is your factory located? How can I visit there?
A:Our company is located in Guangzhou City, China.All clients, from home and abroad,are warmly welcomed to visit us.
Q3. What is your terms of packing?
A: Generally, we pack our goods by thicker bubble paper, some of them are packed by carton.
Q4. What is your terms of payment?
A: By T/T, 30% as deposit for production, and 70% balance before delivery. We'll show you the photos of the products and packages before you pay the balance.
Q5. What is your terms of delivery?
A: Normally our quotation is under FOB Guangzhou, but we also accept EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF, DDU.
Q6. How about your delivery time?
A: Generally, it will take 10 to 15 days after receiving full payment. If your voltage is different from 380V/3PH/50Hz, the delivery time will be around 20 days for custom-made motors or electric components.
Q7.Can we customize our product?
A:Yes,you can.Customized material and standard are acceptable. We can provide different standards according to your market and favor.
